Nell'ambito della sua serie di registrazioni live dei tour, FTD è lieta di annunciare la pubblicazione di "Elvis: Memphis In March '74" in un digipak da 5", con 3 CD. Questo cofanetto contiene tre concerti tenuti nella città di Elvis al Mid-South Coliseum.
I concerti includono tutte le canzoni registrate dal tecnico del suono durante il tour del marzo 1974.
Registrato in mono.
Contiene il concerto di apertura del 16 marzo, il concerto serale del 16 marzo e il concerto pomeridiano del 17 marzo.
Nel 1974 Elvis si esibì in cinque concerti al Mid-South Coliseum, culminati nel suo classico concerto del 20 marzo, registrato e pubblicato dalla RCA.
Sia il concerto serale del 16 marzo che quello pomeridiano del 17 marzo non sono mai stati pubblicati prima, quindi rappresentano una vera chicca per i collezionisti, anche se la scaletta era la stessa ogni sera.
FTD ha precedentemente pubblicato il concerto serale del 17 marzo di Elvis.
Il concerto di apertura del 16 marzo di Elvis è stato recentemente pubblicato in stereo da MRS.

SET CD - ELVIS PRESLEY: MEMORIES THAT LINGER IN MY HEART

L'etichetta Panther Records ha annunciato la pubblicazione del set CD "Elvis Presley: Memories That Linger In My Heart", in cui si ascolta il concerto di Elvis Presley del 10 Dicembre 1975.
Presentazione:
A Las Vegas, negli anni '70, il mese di Dicembre non era certo un periodo in cui fosse facile riempire le sale da concerto. A meno che non si volesse ingaggiare un fenomeno musicale per le festività natalizie. Ed è proprio quello che accadde nel 1975. Quando Elvis si esibì a Las Vegas nell'Agosto di quell'anno, fu un ingaggio di breve durata, poiché il "Re" si ritirò dopo solamente 5 esibizioni a causa della pura stanchezza.
I fans che attendevano con impazienza la sua presenza iconica rimasero delusi, ma la speranza di un suo ritorno rimase viva. E il contratto doveva comunque essere rispettato, quindi il Colonnello e la direzione dell'Hilton decisero di riportare Elvis a Las Vegas nel mese di Dicembre dello stesso anno.
In breve: l'intero tour di Dicembre del 1975 fu un vero e proprio trionfo, seppur riprogrammato!
Quello che ascolterete nel nostro nuovo cofanetto di 2 CD è (per la prima volta) lo spettacolo COMPLETO del 10 Dicembre (quel giorno ci fu un solo spettacolo, alle 22:00). Nelle precedenti edizioni di questo concerto, i produttori non furono disposti ad investire in un secondo CD, quindi si limitarono a tagliare alcuni dialoghi – il che è un vero peccato, ovviamente.
Ci sono molti momenti salienti nell'ottima registrazione dal vivo di questa serata. Uno spettacolo più rilassato, con Elvis che sembra divertirsi molto interagendo con il pubblico. Inoltre non mancano le sorprese, come Elvis che, all'inizio del concerto, fa chiaramente uno scherzo al pubblico passando da "See See Rider" a "Can't Help Falling In Love" (incluso il cosiddetto "Closing Vamp"!!) – come se lo spettacolo dovesse già finire dopo solo due canzoni!
E poi, quando ci si sarebbe aspettati che passasse direttamente a "I Got A Woman" dopo la solita "Well", ha riservato un'altra sorpresa: una versione spontanea e piacevole di "When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again". Un momento davvero esilarante!
La canzone "Just Pretend", una perla musicale del 1970, è stata reinserita in scaletta in questa stagione, dopo non essere stata eseguita dal Novembre del '72 alle Hawaii. Su richiesta apparentemente spontanea poco prima della fine dello spettacolo, il brano "drammatico" "My Way" si è trasformato in un duetto tra Sherill Nielsen ed Elvis, perché quest'ultimo non ricordava il testo e fece cantare Sherill al posto suo in alcuni punti. E per quanto riguarda la qualità del nostro nuovo CD: inutile dire che la registrazione di questo spettacolo è stata rimasterizzata e la velocità è stata corretta.
Godetevi questo spettacolo, ricco di divertimento, e assicuratevi di procurarvi al più presto una copia di questa nuova uscita della "Panther Records" dal vostro rivenditore di fiducia!

Abbiamo riunito le nostre 4 precedenti pubblicazioni in un cofanetto e lo abbiamo pubblicato in edizione limitata con vari extra!
I CD contengono le registrazioni originali di Gennaio/Febbraio 1971, registrate direttamente dal mixer, più alcune registrazioni bonus.
Non tutte le registrazioni della serata inaugurale (26 Gennaio) furono pubblicate dall'etichetta FTD, come ad esempio "Love Me Tender", "The Wonder of You", "Make The World Go Away" e altre, e le registrazioni della serata di chiusura (23 Febbraio) non erano disponibili tramite l'etichetta.
Tuttavia, sono presenti in questo cofanetto, che rappresenta un'ottima aggiunta al catalogo FTD. Abbiamo preferito il suono originale, quindi non abbiamo applicato alcun effetto stereo. Insieme agli extra, come le cartoline replica, ecc., questo cofanetto è diventato un pezzo pregiato per collezionisti e appassionati.

Il secondo concerto del 01 Ottobre, come presentato in questo set, è stato rimasterizzato e mixato in formato stereo per la prima volta in assoluto.
Elvis era in migliori condizioni di salute e di umore nel secondo concerto, durante il quale si è lanciato in una esecuzione spontanea di "Steamroller Blues", come da richiesta del pubblico.

L'etichetta Reel Trax annuncia la pubblicazione, prevista per il 2026, del set da 2 CD "Elvis Presley: Heading Down To Sunset Boulevard - The '74 Summer Festival Rehearsal".

Reel Trax è tornata con un set 2 CD fortissimo! Questa volta ci siamo concentrati sulle leggendarie prove di Elvis per l'ingaggio del "Summer Festival" del 1974.
Sì, è stato già pubblicato ma... Non crederete alle vostre orecchie quando sentirete la qualità audio della pubblicazione Reel Trax! Molto probabilmente avrete il massimo della soddisfazione nell'ascoltarla!
La prova del 16 Agosto 1974 è stata attentamente e nuovamente mixata. Le edizioni precedenti presentavano un problema in cui la musica si abbassava ad un volume molto basso quando Elvis iniziava a cantare. Usando le più recenti tecnologie in studio, abbiamo lavorato per creare un maggiore bilanciamento nella registrazione che rendesse giustizia sia ai musicisti che all'esibizione di Elvis. Ogni canzone è stata accuratamente mixata per essere presentata al meglio.
La prova è stata anche corretta nella velocità, dato che le edizioni precedenti erano troppo lente. Questa importante correzione cambia l'intera prova, nel senso che non dà più l'impressione di un Elvis stanco mentre lavora e la band sfinita non appena Elvis inizia a cantare.
Dato che la registrazione completa richiede non solamente uno, ma due CD, abbiamo aggiunto esibizioni interessanti provenienti dal "Summer Festival" del 1974.
