L'album "Just For Old Time Sake" mette in risalto la collaborazione tra Elvis Presley ed il duo di compositori Sid Tepper e Roy C. Bennett. Questi autori scrissero 42 canzoni per il Re, principalmente per i suoi film, che, sebbene talvolta vengano sottovalutate, hanno segnato intere generazioni. Quest'album contiene le takes alternative di brani registrati tra il 1957 ed il 1962, tra cui molte provenienti da "Blue Hawaii".

Nel 1960, il famoso compositore Leonard Bernstein disse: "Elvis Presley è la più grande forza culturale del XX secolo. Ha introdotto il ritmo in ogni cosa ed ha cambiato tutto: musica, linguaggio, vestiti. È una rivoluzione sociale completamente nuova da cui sono emersi gli anni '60." Presentazione:
Questo album riunisce due cantautori, entrambi pianisti, che hanno dato un notevole contributo al lavoro ed alla carriera del Re. Mentre Otis Blackwell eccelleva nel rock 'n' roll, di cui fu uno dei grandi artigiani (fornendo ad Elvis non meno di tre successi in vetta alle classifiche), Don Robertson, d'altro canto, era un maestro nell'arte della ballata (molte delle sue composizioni appariranno sui lati B di singoli di successo).
Due artisti eccezionali che meritano un posto nel Pantheon della Musica.

Come annunciato qualche settimana fa, in occasione del Record Store Day 2023, che ha avuto luogo il 22 Aprile, è stato pubblicato l'album "He Was The One: Elvis Sings Aaron Schroeder" su vinile colorato da parte dell'etichetta francese VPI / LMLR.
Presentazione:

Tra il 1956 e il 1962 Aaron Schroeder ha scritto non meno di diciassette canzoni per Elvis e cinque di queste sono arrivate al N° 1!
Questa mole di lavoro è stata talvolta co-firmata da Schroeder con una quindicina di altri, la maggior parte dei quali autori di canzoni molto prolifici. Questo album riunisce principalmente takes alternative di canzoni registrate nel periodo sopra indicato, e sono tratte da sessions di registrazioni in studio o per film. Un gran numero di loro è stato pubblicato come singolo ed hanno occupato i vertici delle classifiche di vendita in paesi di tutto il mondo, come "Any Way You Want Me" per esempio, che era il lato B di "Love Me Tender".

Blues", che verranno pubblicati per il Record Store Day 2021 dall'etichetta francese LMLP.
